Here, briefly, are the fundamental rules of the Mediterranean
Diet, adopted by the New Hotel Sonia:-
Limited use of saturated fats.
Use of vegetable oils in preference to solid fats.
Wide use of fresh veg., fruit and low-fat milk products.
Avoidance of excessive use of salt and sugar.
Avoidance or moderate use of alcohol and cigarettes.
Avoidance of stress.
Chocolate in moderate quantities.
Exercise and walks in the open air.
